Dr. Abur Hamdi Usman, a native of Indonesia, received his graduate and doctoral degrees from the Theology and Philosophy Department, Faculty of Islamic Studies, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). Currently he is Assistant Professor of Dakwah and Usuluddin, Faculty of Islamic Civilization Studies at the Kolej Universiti Islam Antarabangsa Selangor (KUIS), Malaysia. He has published numerous books and refereed articles on Theology, Quranic exegesis, and Hadith. His areas of interest include the Sciences of Quran and Hadith Studies. Dr. Abur has conducted field research in Malaysia in the Anti-Hadith Movement and Paedophilia, with grants from the University. He has lectured on contemporary issues in various parts of the world and has traveled extensively in South East countries. Dr. Abur is also the a former Head of Hadith and Research Unit in Hadith and Aqidah Research Institute (INHAD), Malaysia.

Dr. Nasimah Abdullah, received her PhD in Arabic Linguistic Studies in 2015 and Master of Human Sciences (Arabic as Second Language) in 2000 from International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). In 1997 she graduated with a Bachelor of Human Sciences (Arabic Language and Literature) from the same university. She has 20 years experiences in teaching Arabic Language in various subjects such as syntax, morphology and rhetorical science. Dr. Nasimah area of interest include Arabic linguistics, teaching Arabic as second language, Arabic-Malay translation and semantic. She had written numerous articles in international refereed journals, and academic books. Currently, she is a senior lecturer at Department of Language Studies and Arabic Linguistic, Faculty of Islamic Civilisation Studies (FPPI), Kolej Universiti Islam Antarabangsa Selangor (KUIS). Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mariam Abd Majid, a lecturer at Department of Dakwah and Usuluddin, Faculty of Islamic Civilization Studies, Kolej Universiti Islam Antarabangsa Selangor (KUIS). Holding a Bachelor of Usuluddin, Master in Usuluddin, and Doctor of Philosophy which specializing in Da'wah Methodology from University of Malaya. Dr. Latifa Bibi Musafar Hameed is currently the Director of International Research Centre of Islamic Economic and Finance (IRCIEF) in Kolej Universiti Islam Antarabangsa Selangor (KUIS). She is actively involved in research in the field of Islamic economics and finance, namely zakat, waqf, and sadaqah. Her current project in IRCIEF is the viability of Sadaqah House as a banking instrument in Malaysia. The strategic partner for this research is Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad (BIMB). She was involved in various governments research projects. She is a graduate of University Malaya, where she received a PhD in Economics.  Dr. Kamal Azmi Abd. Rahman, graduated from International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), Master of Islamic Revealed Knowledge and Heritage (Usuluddin and Comparative Religion), and doctorate study from National University of Malaysia (UKM) in the field of philosophy and Islamic thought. He is also serving as lecturer at the Department of Dakwah and Usuluddin, Kolej Universiti Islam Antarabangsa Selangor (KUIS). His research and writings are largely focusing on Islamic thought. Dr. Abdul Razif Zaini, is a senior lecturer of applied linguistic at Kolej Universiti Islam Antarabangsa Selangor (KUIS), Malaysia. He also appointed as a Director of Regional Centre for Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization – ISESCO since 2015. He holds PhD in Arabic Linguistic Studies, and MA in Modern Language from University of Malaya (UM), Malaysia. He graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Arabic Language and Literature from al-Albayt University, Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in 2000. Dr. Abdul Razif has 18 years of teaching experiences in various subject such as Arabic syntax, morphology, and lexicography. He also actively involved in research and his area of expertise include applied linguistic, sociolinguistics and lexical related to teaching Arabic as a Second Language. Currently, he involves in various research grant with collaboration of Ministry of Education (MOE), Malaysia and Institute of Teacher Education (Islamic Education Campus, Bangi), Malaysia. He also appointed as a subject matter expert for Granada Editions (Granada Paris), Open University Malaysia (OUM) and Department of Islamic Studies in Ministry of Education, Malaysia. Dr. Md Noor Hussin, received his PhD in Arabic Linguistic Studies in 2014 and his Master of Human Sciences (Arabic as Second Language) in 2006 from International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). He graduated with a Bachelor of Human Sciences (Arabic Language and Literature) from the same university in 2003. Dr. Md. Noor has 15 years experiences in teaching Arabic Language in various subjects such as syntax, morphology and linguistics, and he also teaches subjects related to language skills. His area of interest in research study include Arabic linguistic, Teaching Arabic as second language and semantic. Currently, he appointed as Dean of Faculty of Islamic and Civilization Studies. Dr. Norsaleha Mohd. Salleh, Director of Hadith & Aqidah Research Institute (INHAD), Kolej Universiti Islam Antarabangsa Selangor (KUIS). She graduated Diploma of Usuluddin  from UNISZA, Bachelor of Aqidah & Philosophy at al-Azhar University, Egypt, Master of Usuluddin & Philosophy, and Ph.D of Islamic Education from UKM, Malaysia. Her experts include the field of faith, thought, Islamic education, and Islamic psychology. Dr. Norsaleha also is the Head of Muslim Women's Association of Malaysia, Women's Hall of Fame, National Da'wah Council, Shariah Advisory Center of Ummah Excellence, Advisory Board at Interdisciplinary Research And International Strategy, State Government's Research and Development Grant, Science, Technology and Innovation Committee (JTGPPSTI), and advisor to the National Islamic Women's Convention (KONWANIS) and the International Muslimah Empowerment Conference (IMEC). She can be contacted at norsaleha@kuis.edu.my.

 

Dr. Mohd Farid Ravi Abdullah, is a renown scholar in Quranic Studies with a Ph.D in “Tafsir and Ulum al-Quran” from the University of Jordan in 2015. Dr. Farid is a senior lecturer at al-Quran and al-Sunnah Department, Faculty of Islamic Studies and Civilization, KUIS for more than 18 years, and he was awarded Tokoh Ma’al Hijrah at the National Level in year 2011. He is the Member of of Islamic Council of Selangor (MAIS) also the Chairman of Newly Converted Muslim Committee under MAIS. Among his famous publication include Kembali Kepada Fitrah, Ustaz Apa Hukumnya, and Terjemahan Ringkasan Sahih al-Bukhari. These publications concern on the interpretation of Islamic manuscripts. He also leads several research and publish articles related to Islamic studies. In line with the advent of new technology, recently he develops an application in Tadabbur Surah al-Fatihah. Dr. Mohammad Hannan Hassan, is the vice dean and deputy director for capacity building and interfaith engagement at Muis Academy in Singapore. Hassan has always been interested in philosophy and the history of ideas and civilizations, particularly in Islamic education. He specializes in Muslim-Jewish relations, interfaith relations, and history and philosophy of Islamic law in the Malay Archipelago. Under the supervision of renowned professors Wael Hallaq and Jamil Ragep, he successfully defended his doctoral dissertation, Islamic Legal Thought and Practices of Seventeenth Century Aceh: Treating the Others, at McGill University's Institute of Islamic Studies in Canada. He was also a participant in the International Higher Education Interfaith Leadership Forum.

 

 

Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mohd Yusof Hj. Othman is a Professor at Dept. of Physics, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). He was the Head, Dept. of Physics (1990-94); Deputy Dean, Faculty of Science and Technology (1994-02); Director, Research and Innovation Management Centre (2002-07); He is Pioneer Director of Institute of Islam Hadhari UKM (2007-2018) and Principle Research Fellow at Solar Energy Research Institute of the university since 2005. He received BSc (Hons) from UKM in 1976 in Physics, MSc in Solid State Physics from Bedford College, University of London in 1977, and PhD in Solar Assisted Heat Pump System from Aston University, UK in 1984. Dr. Mutsalim Khareng, received his PhD in Islamic Studies (Theology and Philosophy) in 2016, and his master of Islamic Studies (Theology and Philosophy) in 2012 from National University of Malaysia (UKM). He graduated with a Bachelor of Islamic Studies (Theology and Philosophy) from al-Azhar University, Egypt in 2009. He has many years experiences in teaching Islam Studies in various subjects such as Islamic Creed, Islamic Civilization & Globalization, Comparative Religion, Comparative Politic System, Hadith, Fiqh al-Dakwah and others. His area of interest in research studies include freedom of religion, issues of the Muslim minority, human right and Islamic civilization. He had written almost 20 articles that published by national and international refereed journals index scopus and about 15 articles in proceedings of various seminars. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Abul Lais is Professor of Hadith at the International Islamic University of Malaysia. He is a senior graduate in the Islamic Religious Sciences from Darul Uloom Deoband. Professor Abul Lais earned postgraduate degree in the Prophetic Sciences from Medina University, and a Ph.D from Ummul Qura University, Mecca. He has authored more than 30 books in his field of Hadith specialization.

 

 

 

 

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Adnane Mokrani is Associated Professor at the Pontifical Institute for Arabic and Islamic Studies (PISAI), and Aggregated Professor at the Pontifical Gregorian University. A prominent Muslim theologian, he was Visiting Professor at the Institut Européen des Sciences Humaines in Paris, as well as a member of the Scientific Committee in charge of drafting the “Chart of Values for Integration and Citizenship”, promoted by the Italian Ministry of Home Affairs (2006-2008). Dr. Mokrani obtained a PhD in Islamic Theology from al-Zaytuna University in Tunis, a PhD in Muslim-Christian Relations from PISAI and the license in Islamic Sciences at the Emir Abd-el-Kader University for Islamic Sciences in Constantine, Algeria. Engaged in numerous interreligious dialogue initiatives, his writings have been published in English, French, Arabic and Italian.

 

 

Dr. Mohamad Anas Sarmini is Assistant Professor of Hadith at the Istanbul 29 May University. In 2010 he completed his master thesis at the University of Damascus. His master thesis is published in the name of "Muhammad Jamal al-Din al-Qasimi and his participation in hadith knowledge ". In 2013 he completed his second master thesis at the University of Jinan. It is also published in the name of "Classical. He is currently a lecturer at the Faculty of International Islamic and Religious Sciences. He has other Published books and books’ chapters, and also has many Published Peer reviewed Essays.

 

 

 

Dr. Ali Akbar is currently a research assistant and tutor at the University of Melbourne. His research interests include topics such as Middle Eastern and Iranian politics, modern Islamic thought, and classical and contemporary Quranic hermeneutics. He holds a Ph.D. degree in Islamic studies (from University of Melbourne, Australia, 2018) and an Honours degree in Arts in Religious studies and Political Science (from Monash University, Australia, 2013). Ali has authored a book in Persian entitled The Political Discourse of Decline and Backwardness among Contemporary Iranian Intellectuals. His articles have been published in internationally renowned peer-reviewed journals such as the British Journal of Middle Eastern Studies, Arabica, Islam and Christian-Muslim Relations, Middle Eastern Studies and Islamic Quarterly.

 

 

Dr. Ahmed Shehab, a native of Palestine, received his doctoral degrees from Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). received his Master of Laws (LLM) from Faculty of Law, from Alexandria University in Egypt. He graduated with a Bachelor of Islamic Sharia and Law from Islamic University of Gaza in Palestine. Currently he is Assistant Professor of Public law, Faculty of Islamic Sharia and Law at Islamic University of Gaza (IUG). He has published numerous articles on Islamic Sharia and Law. His areas of interest include the Islamic Sharia and Law Studies. Ahmed has conducted field thesis in Malaysia about the extent of the harmony between the Palestinian legislations of child rights and the united nations convention on the rights of the child. He has lectured on contemporary issues in some parts of the world and has traveled extensively in Middle East countries. Prof. Dr. Rusjdi Ali Muhammad, is a Professor of Ar-Raniry State Islamic University, Banda Aceh, Aceh, Indonesia. He holds a PhD from the State Islamic University of Jakarta, Indonesia in 1989 specializing in the Law of Torts and Criminal Islamic Laws and has written many books and journals on the subjects. Besides serving in various capacities at the Ar-Raniry University, he is also the panel of advisors for various institutions.
