Spiritual intelligence is a psychological construct that has begun to gain attention from scholars in the psychology field. Existing theories and conceptual frameworks regarding spiritual intelligence mainly refer to western scholars. However, the theories and conceptual frameworks proposed by western scholars are not suitable to be used as benchmarks in the life of a Muslim. Thus, the purpose of this article is to analyze the concept of spiritual intelligence from the perspective of hadiths using the content analysis method by identifying the relevant hadiths that relate to spiritual intelligence. The study found that the hadith describes faith as the foundation of spiritual intelligence. In addition, the study also found that among the spiritual elements highlighted in hadiths are piety, love towards Allah and the Prophet, self-confidence, and steadfast patience.
